Hi, I’m Naja—a Certified Holistic Pet Health Coach, lifelong animal lover, and the heart behind Green Paws Holistic Pet Care.
But first and always, I’m a devoted pet parent—just like you.
My Roots: Food, Family, and the Wisdom of Two Worlds
Green Paws Holistic Pet Care exists because of the lifelong influence food and plant medicine have had on me. Growing up in a biracial household, my Thai mother’s wisdom shaped my understanding of nutrition and healing from an early age. She taught me to value fresh, whole ingredients, to use every part of what we had, and to honor food as medicine—not just for people, but for animals too.
As a child, I watched our family dog, Brandy, thrive on real food and pass peacefully at home at age 16. My mother’s approach—feeding pets what we ate, using herbs and spices for their medicinal benefits—laid the foundation for everything I do today, even if it took me years (and a few detours) to fully embrace those lessons.
An Unconventional Path: From Ballet to Circus, From Injury to Insight
I’ve never done things the “normal” way. My early years were devoted to ballet, then circus arts, where injury and recovery brought me back to the healing practices of my mother and my Chinese coaches—traditional food, plant remedies, massage, and acupressure. These experiences taught me that the body’s ability to heal is powerful when supported with the right tools.
My First Dogs: Rudy & Tripp—Lessons in Love, Loss, and Awakening
My adult journey as a pet parent began with Rudy, rescued from death row, and Tripp, my red-nosed pittie. Like so many, I followed every conventional recommendation—vaccines, flea/tick preventatives, ultra-processed kibble, prescriptions. I trusted the experts.
Looking back, I see how Rudy’s health challenges—seizures, poor dental health, liver issues—were linked to choices I now know better about. He eventually became my dad’s beloved companion, and his resilience (and suffering) still motivate me to help others avoid similar regret.
With Tripp, I started making changes. After years in California, I moved back east to heal from surgery and reconnect with family. My mother resumed her role as “chief dog feeder,” and my dogs transitioned to fresh, home-cooked meals. I saw firsthand the difference it made in their joy and vitality.
By the time Tripp was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at age 10, I had already been feeding him fresh food for years. Still, the diagnosis shook me. Despite doing “everything right” by conventional standards, he faced a devastating illness. That’s when I dove deep into holistic care—leveraging everything I’d learned from my mom, my coaches, and my own research. Tripp’s quality of life improved beyond expectations, and his journey became my inspiration and mission.
Prevention, Longevity, and the Next Chapter
When Tonka came into my life, I was determined to do even better. Prevention became my foundation—focusing on both lifespan and healthspan: ensuring every year is as vibrant, joyful, and comfortable as possible.
Tonka, Summer, and Macy Tre were all born with severe skeletal deformities due to irresponsible and poor breeding practices. From the very beginning, I knew prevention would be absolutely key for them—I was determined not to add more problems to what they’d already inherited. The reality is that pain will always be a part of their lives because of these physical challenges. My job is to minimize that pain as much as possible, using natural approaches that avoid the side effects and long-term complications of pharmaceuticals. For them, it’s not about chasing a pain-free life, but about playing the long game: supporting their whole bodies from a young age, addressing root causes, and focusing on comfort, resilience, and quality of life.
My approach with all of them (and with Quinn and Roxy, too) has included:
I strongly believe that this “whole body, long game” approach is best for all animals—not just those born with challenges. Prevention, individualized care, and natural support set every pet up for a longer, healthier, and more joyful life.
Roxy’s Legacy: The Power of Canine Companionship
Roxy’s story deserves special mention. She was more than just a member of our pack—she was Tonka’s physical therapist, motivator, and best friend. Her nurturing spirit and determination helped Tonka through tough days, and her loss to leukemia was heartbreaking. Roxy showed me firsthand how much our animals can support and heal one another, and her legacy continues in the love and balance she brought to our home. The lessons she taught me about the importance of companionship, emotional support, and teamwork among animals are woven into every recommendation I make for my clients and their pets.
Our Story—Shared with the World
Our journey isn’t just private—it’s been shared openly on social media, where thousands have followed Tonka and the girls from their earliest days.
Through every post, video, and story, I show:
This transparency has built a community of like-minded, open-hearted pet parents—people inspired to take action for their own companions.
Why I Do This—for You and Your Pet
I’ve walked this path from heartbreak to hope, from confusion to confidence.
I know what it’s like to question, to research late at night, to want more for your best friend.
Now, I’m here to walk beside you—sharing everything I’ve learned from Rudy, Tripp, Tonka, Summer, Macy Tre, Quinn, and Roxy, and from years of study and hands-on experience.
When you work with me, you get:
You’re not alone. There is hope, and there is a better way.
Let’s give your companion animal the long, vibrant, and supported life they deserve—together.
💚 With hope, healing, and holistic care—Naja.
Looking back, I wish I’d had a holistic pet health coach by my side when Tripp got sick.
Instead, I spent countless hours lost in research—sorting through an overwhelming amount of information, much of it conflicting or just plain wrong. The internet is vast, and for every helpful article, there are dozens of misleading ones (not to mention products and advice designed more for profit than for pets’ true well-being).
I know now that time is precious—especially when your pet is hurting or facing a serious diagnosis. I would have given anything to spend less time sifting through advice and more time simply being present with Tripp.
That’s why I do what I do. Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to separating the good information from the bad, and I never recommend anything I haven’t personally researched, vetted, or tried with my own dogs.
As your coach, I help you avoid costly mistakes—like buying low-quality red light devices that don’t work, or falling for supplement hype that doesn’t deliver. I recommend only what’s truly effective, so you can spend less time worrying and more time loving your best friend.
